Consider/Approve Amendment to Board Policy #6.406 – Student Psychological Services |

Background Information: There is only a minor change to this policy and the change is reflected in law. By law, school personnel cannot conduct mental health screening, except as provided by law (TCA §49-2-124). This statute is attached for your reference and it sets forth the exceptions provided for in law. Our current policy is attached for informational purposes only. Staff Recommendation: I recommend approval of the amendment to Board Policy #6.406 – Student Psychological Services, as set forth above on first reading. |
